BEYOND ORGANIC: Our Organic Dark Red Kidney Beans are grown in certified organic soils using regenerative farming practices. Harvested at peak flavor, these beans are perfect for soups, stews, and hearty recipes, delivering exceptional taste and quality year-round. Proudly grown on our Wisconsin family farm, they’re certified non-GMO and USDA Organic by MOSA. Certification for Regenerative Organic Agriculture (ROA) is also in progress.

WHY CHOOSE DRIED BEANS?

  • Canned Beans: 15 oz cans = 10 oz drained beans. Often contain BPA, added sodium, sugar, and preservatives, resulting in less value and compromised quality.
  • Dried Beans: 1 lb = ~3 lbs cooked beans. They have a fresher taste, better value, longer shelf life, and no additives or BPA—just pure, farm-fresh goodness.

ORIGIN: Grown in Wisconsin, USA, on our sixth-generation organic family farm. Supporting Doudlah Farms means supporting American farmers and sustainable agriculture.

BASIC COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Rinse and sort thoroughly, removing any debris or small stones.
  2. Soak beans for 6-8 hours or overnight and drain.
  3. Boil beans in 6-8 cups of fresh water for 10 minutes. Reduce heat and simmer for approximately 90 minutes or until desired tenderness. For convenience, finish cooking in a slow cooker or Instant Pot.

NOTE: Always cook beans thoroughly. Undercooked beans may contain naturally occurring plant lectins.

VERSATILE & FLAVORFUL: Dark Red Kidney Beans are essential for soups, stews, and various comfort food recipes. Their hearty texture and robust flavor make them a pantry staple for creative cooking.
