DIRECTIONS:  Please wash thoroughly. Watch for debris and stones. As we strive for perfection, however, it is not always possible to remove all debris. Some small stones are the same size as the bean and can get past the best inspectors.

Cleaning & Basic Cooking instructions:  Rinse and sort thoroughly, Soak Beans for 6 – 24 hours or best overnight and drain when ready for use. Boil in 6-8 cups of fresh water for 10 minutes. Reduce heat and simmer for 60-90 minutes in favorite recipe. Add to your slow cooker or Instant Pot to finish the cooking process.

Warning:  If not cooked properly, do not eat the beans! Undercooked and raw beans are toxic due to a plant lectin known as phytohaemagglutnin.  Store unused dry beans in airtight container in a cool and dry place.
