BEYOND ORGANIC: Our Organic Pinto Beans are grown in certified organic soils using regenerative farming practices. Harvested at peak flavor, these versatile beans are perfect for chilis, burritos, stews, soups, and more. Proudly grown on our Wisconsin family farm, these non-GMO beans are USDA Certified Organic and contain no artificial flavors or preservatives.

WHY CHOOSE DRIED BEANS?

  • Dried Beans: One lb = ~2.5-3 lbs cooked beans, costing approximately $0.11 per serving. They have a fresher taste, better value, and are free from BPA, heavy metals, and preservatives.
  • Canned Beans: 15-oz cans = 10-oz drained beans. They often contain BPA, sodium, and preservatives. Some canners even heat beans directly in the can, affecting quality.

ORIGIN: Grown in Wisconsin, USA, on our sixth-generation organic family farm. Supporting Doudlah Farms means supporting American farmers and sustainable agriculture.

BASIC COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Rinse and sort thoroughly, removing any debris or small stones.
  2. Soak beans for 6-24 hours (overnight is best) and drain.
  3. Boil beans in 6-8 cups of fresh water for 10 minutes. Reduce heat and simmer for 60-90 minutes, or finish cooking in a slow cooker or Instant Pot.

NOTE: Always cook beans thoroughly. Undercooked beans may contain naturally occurring plant lectins. Store unused dry beans in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.

VERSATILE & FUNCTIONAL: Pinto Beans are a must-have for hearty recipes. Soak and roast them for a unique snack, or grind them into gluten-free flour for creative baking. Their earthy flavor and versatility make them a kitchen essential.
